Far East Deep South

Far East Deep South is a documentary film about a Chinese American family’s search for their family roots that leads to Mississippi and uncovers the racially complex history of the Chinese in the segregated South. We work with schools, museums, libraries and various community organizations to do educational outreach programs and screenings year round centered around our film and related topics.

Our Mission: To spark positive, transformative dialogue and action towards better cross cultural understanding, greater inclusiveness in education and healing of racial divides through films.
